ENCOUNTER GROUPS!
Encounter is the B.O.L.D. Student Ministries small group ministry. Join a small group, develop some close friendships, band together and "fight the good fight" as devoted followers of Christ. We will enjoy a free meal together, explore God's word and get equipped to love and minister as Jesus did. The groups are divided by grade. The Junior High groups meet at Calvary. They are exploring an awesome interactive DVD curriculum entitled "FREEDOM IN CHRIST." Ninth and Tenth Grade groups meet together at the Silkwood home, and guys and girls will divide into two groups. GUYS will discuss relevant topics such as "What does it Take to Be a Man?" and "How to Keep the Girl and Not Lose God." GIRLS will cover topics such as "Finding Your Worth," and "Is Pure Better?" The Eleventh Grade Encounter Group meets at the Miller's home and will study the book of Colossians. Seniors meet at the Lee's home and will continue their study of the book of James.
Encounter times are 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. and meals will be provided by CCC.
Believe it or not, but the time has come to start thinking about youth camp! A "new generation" is heading up this year's Summer Youth Camp, entitled "Encounter God's Presence!" Here are some familiar things you can expect to encounter: Spirit-led worship and ministry, prophetic ministry (which is God speaking through others to strengthen, encourage and comfort), improv night, a campus-wide Amazing Race, a guest artist will paint during worship, and stdent dramas, just to name a few!
