Choose to be present over perfect

This class is for amazing women of all ages and seasons in life - from singles to young mothers to grandmothers. Yes, that’s you! Do you long to live a life of meaning and connection rather than always pushing for perfection? During this 11 weeks together we will discuss how we can give ourselves to God’s callings and purposes for us in this present moment even through our imperfection. We will look at choices we make that determine who we will be in this season of our life. We can offer up our loaves and fishes and trust that God will use the small things He prompts us to give to accomplish His purposes. We will explore God’s call to “Be still, and know that I am God.” We will share our lives together and celebrate victories and pray for one another in our challenges. If you find your self getting stopped by your desire to do it all and do it perfectly or just would like some encouragement in your journey, join us as we explore our beautiful lives together.

Defending your faith 101 - Why i don't have enough faith to be an atheist

Statistically speaking, 80% of young people who were raised in the church end up leaving their beliefs behind while in college. This is in large part because while most churches lead and develop young people’s faith, they don’t tend to give them the ammunition to defend that faith when their beliefs are questioned in an ever more liberal college setting. This class is designed to establish WHY Christianity is true, and how we can prove it beyond a reasonable doubt (the basic requirement to prove something in a court of law). We will cover topics including: Does truth exist? Does God exist? Are miracles possible? Is the New Testament historically reliable? Which God is the True God: Allah or Jesus? What do Muslims believe, and how to witness to Muslims? This class will be interactive and highly informative, and leave you with a true desire to seek out even more information on the subjects.
(Topics will be discussed from the sources: “I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Ateist,” by Norman Geisler and Frank Turek, “Cold Case Christianity,” by J. Warner Wallace, “Case for Christ,” by Lee Strobel, and “Cross Examined,” radio show (and app), hosted by Frank Turek as well as many others.)
