Missions Ministries Supported by CCC MissionsAs of December 2007
|
| According to Doug Stringer,
the kingdom of God is built on relationships. We wholeheartedly concur.
Calvary Missions is the sending and servicing arm of Calvary, helping us
to fulfill a part of our vision of extending the kingdom of God in the
earth. On behalf of Calvary Missions, our World Missions Council relates
to various ministers and ministries around the world. We also sow into
these ministries on a regular basis on behalf of Calvary.
If you would like more information on these ministries, please follow the links to their web sites. Also, you are welcome to support their ministries as the Lord leads. (Note: This is not an exhaustive list of ministries with whom we partner. However, it is representative of our ongoing relationships. The material in italics quotes directly from their web site info.) Local Efforts:

|
| Mission Houston, Steve Capper, Executive Director | We seek
nothing less than the spiritual and social transformation and
revitalization of greater Houston - each person, neighborhood, and
community. We believe the transformation of greater Houston requires our
best efforts and collaboration, but ... these are not enough. We
desperately need God's presence and activity in our lives and
communities. (Click here

|
| Northwest Pregnancy Center, (281) 477-8200 | Through God's
Grace, we save babies’ lives and shelter their young mothers while
providing education and ongoing compassionate support services. We
further educate young people to make healthy life choices. We also
shelter women who are homeless, sick, and elderly and we help them to
restore their dignity. |
|
| Somebody Cares Houston, Doug Stringer | Somebody Cares is
one of the premiere compassion ministries in the world, based right here
in Houston under the leadership of Doug Stringer. The mission of
Somebody Cares is to let people know that somebody cares. Because Jesus
cares, we care. Through grass-roots efforts, communities are changing
and the church is uniting. This is unity with a purpose in action. (Read

| Union Baptist Association, Tom Billings, Executive Director | UBA is an
alliance of more than 600 congregations. It is one of the largest and
most diverse Baptist Associations in the world. The vision of UBA is
healthy, reproducing congregations cooperating to transform our
communities, Houston, and the world. Calvary is privileged to
partner with UBA both locally and globally. Our relationship with UBA
goes back to 1982.

Global Efforts:

|
|
| Antioch Community Church (Sheffield, England), Daniel and Jeannie McGinnis | Daniel and
Jeannie McGinnis planted a church recently in Sheffield, England. God
led them there to reach people with the life-changing power of God. ACC
is all about reaching postmodern people. Plus, they launch out from
England to other touch other people and nations. |

billion people live in India. India is the world's largest Hindu nation,
the second largest Muslim nation, and the home of Buddhism and Sikhism.
IGO is dedicated to planting a dynamic church in each of India’s 3,000
ethnic groups and 27,000 zip codes. Our
partnership with IGO dates back to 1993. |
|
| Interlock International (USA), Larry and Debbie Stout | We met Larry and
Debbie Stout through our missionaries to Latvia. It was 1991. Larry and
Debbie served faithfully in Latvia and beyond. God has used them to lay
kingdom foundations in all sectors of society. Their ministry has
touched the poor and needy, transformed teachers and educational
processes, and served to disciple leaders with kingdom principles at the
highest levels of national leadership. Recently, the Lord moved the
Stouts back to the USA. Now, they travel to and minister in the nations
from Pennsylvania. |
|
| Living Stones Ministries (Trumpet of God Radio, Israel), Gary and Lorraine Hull | The Lord sent
Gary and Lorraine to Israel to share good news. We met them through our
missionary to Israel, Lynda Gilpin. The Hulls have faithfully shared
good news through one-on-one ministry, through Trumpet of God Radio,
through pastoring congregations, and through the love and ministry of
their whole family to the needy and seeking around them. |
|
| Mickey Robinson Ministries (USA), Mickey and Barbara Robinson | Mickey Robinson
is a gifted prophetic voice to the church today and a genuine friend of
Calvary. Mickey has ministered several times in our midst. He has had
significant impact in the lives of individuals, and in the life of our
congregation. Mickey ministers with deep humility, genuine humor,
gracious sensitivity, and powerful anointing. Each time Mickey visits
Calvary, he leaves a rich deposit. We support Mickey and Barbara
wholeheartedly. The Lord continues to open up doors for them to minister
in schools, in communities, and in nations around the world. |
|
| Ministers Prayer Network and Spiritual Life Outreach Center (Nigeria), Mosy Madugba | Mosy and Gloria
Madugba are friends of Calvary. Our relationship goes back to 1993, when
we sent a team to prayerwalk in Nigeria as a part of Praying Through
the Window. Lee Grady, editor of Charisma Magazine, calls Mosy his
"mentor
and friend." Mosy has an apostolic
anointing. He has seen the Lord raise
the dead, transform
entire villages and districts, and
mobilize missionaries from Nigeria to touch nations. But through it all,
Mosy and Gloria remain humble servants of the Lord.
Rev. & Rev. (Mrs.) Mosy U. Madugba are the chief stewards of Spiritual Life Outreach, an indigenous missionary and evangelistic ministry based in Nigeria. Reverend Madugba is also the International Co-ordinator of Ministers Prayer Network, which is a prayer and leadership network of Christian leaders across the nations of the world. Use this email for more info: outreachng@aol.com. |
|
| New Life Children’s Home (Guatemala), Kendon and Wendy Wheeler | Orphaned,
abandoned, and abused children have found a refuge and safe haven at New
Life Children's Home in Guatemala. NLCH is truly a "home" for
these needy children, where their physical, emotional, and spiritual
needs are addressed. Special attention is given to introducing them to
Jesus Christ, nurturing and discipling them in a relationship with him,
and providing each child with a sound academic Christian education. |
|
| The Sentinel Group, George Otis, Jr. | George Otis, Jr.,
and the Sentinel Group are a gift to the body of Christ. They help
people wake up to what God is doing in the earth today by documenting
the stories of God’s transforming work. The Sentinel Group is
dedicated to helping the Church pray knowledgably for end-time global
evangelization and enabling communities to discover the pathway to
genuine revival and societal transformation. |
|
| Window of Opportunity, Brent Knapton | Window of
Opportunity is called to reach the least, the lost, and the last
people groups in the 10/40 Window. WOO serves as a mobilization
and networking resource for intercession and strategic outreach. God
has raised up this ministry to share the good news of Christ with people
in nations who have yet to hear it. Their aim is to mobilize and
facilitate short term mission trips (2-3 weeks in length) to enable
anyone to go and serve unreached peoples within the 10/40 window. |
